Cava dell'Isola, entirely a free beach, is located in the municipality of Forio, not far from the bay of Citara and the Scogli Innamorati (Lovers’ Rocks). It is easily accessible both by bus and by car but the last stretch, of about 250 metres, needs to be covered on foot along the hill that descends to the sea. It features coarse grey sand.

Situated between two promontories of tuff rock, with an immediately high seabed, it is a destination for young people, who often seek the thrill of romance between the sinuous waves of the sea that washes this stretch of coast and the sun’s rays as they fall into the sea. The bars and restaurants overlooking it offer excellent refreshment services.
